My 9A slider has been flying for over 6 years and I made no attempt to seal anything on the canopy since I was told they all leak, just use a cover. Coming back from Petit Jean I got stuck in the plane on the ground during a shower with water entering the side skirts and a steady flow from the rear skirt. I'd like to seam seal from the outside with a clear sealant. Existing threads appear to be focused for bonding or during construction. Silicon appears to attack plexiglass. Is clear acrylic tube window calk like from Home Depot safe? Ideas?

Plain old Proseal worked great for me, I just masked everything off with electrical tape and applied it with a syringe and smoothed with a gloved finger. Left it overnight, peeled the tape and touched up anything I didn't like. Preparation must be key, it was way easier than I thought. About 30 min to put down the tape and another 3o mixing and spreading proseal. #1 rule: if proseal gets on a glove, get a new glove.

This is the only pic I could find of the finished edge (may have to zoom in), it's on the canopy and windscreen about 3/32 wide.
