Long ago in an RV forum far away I ran across something about putting either a split bicycle tube or some large shrink tube on the outside of the slider rails to help seal air loss out the bottom skirts. Anyone remember that and have any info? It's cold up there in Illinois. Thanks in Advance. Randy

Slider Rail insulation

From the hardware store, get some gray/black foam pipe insulation. I comes in 6 foot lengths and one is enough for both sides. It should cost about $1.50

It has a split lengthwise and you can close the canopy and then use it to seal any gap.

Remember to remove it before trying to open the canopy, as it makes it tough to open.

P.S. It's clear and 72 degrees here!

Vern Thanks for the reply. I have done the foam thing and it works, but supposedly the rubber flap thingys just lean over when air goes by them and seal it off. Then when you land they fold back up and don't interfere with the slider. Also no foam strips lying around the cockpit. I'd like to know if they really work begore I go to the trouble though. Randy
