Cabin frame to longeron attach angle fit...

The longeron (F-718) on one side was opened up somewhat as a result of the bend. I had not noticed until I went to fit the cabin frame (tip up) attach angles (F-731C and F-731D). Since the longeron is splayed out (up) some the effective width of the longeron does not match the inside attach angle (F-731C) and so when the outside attach angle (F-731D) is laid across the longeron and the inside angle (F-731C) it does not lay flat.

Has anyone had this trouble before?

I'm planning on fixing it by putting a shim between the inside and outside attach angles, so the the outside attach angle lays flat against the longeron and the inside attach angle. I might also adjust the angle of the outside attach angle a little so that it nestles flat against the canopy frame.

Does this sound like reasonable fix?

Thanks,
Michael-
