The sides of my canopy dont overlap the fuselage is this a problem
I havent riveted the canopy on yet but have drill all the holes everything looks good except for no overlap the edge sits about 3/32 above the fuselage

Crashley,
When you say canopy, are you talking about the whole assembly or just the Plexiglas? If you are talking about just the glass, it is not supposed to overlap the fuselage. Page 34-05 detail A-A and B-B show the glass 1/8" above the canopy frame. If you are talking about he canopy skirt, it should overlap the fuselage to keep the wind and rain out. Also, the overlapping skirt helps to keep the canopy centered and in position.
Also on page 34-05, notice detail "C" that says, "1/8 GAP BETWEEN C-1201
FORWARD EDGE AND UPPER FORWARD FUSELAGE SKIN." That 1/8" gap is the bare minimum gap. Some builders have had the glass catch on the instrument panel while opening the canopy.
