I've chiposen the mgl iefis lite for my -4. I have 2 of their other gauges in my current airplane and they work perfectly. I want to buy an ACK 406 ELT. It can transmit gps coordinates to the rescue folks but it needs the data fed to it in either benix/king, garmin or NEMA formats. I have not been able to find any mention of one of these outputs being available from the mgl iEfis Lite unit. Does anyone know if it can be done, or better yet, is anyone doing it?

Just found out from mgl that the rs232 port from the efis will provide that info in case anyone is interested.

The "Lite" has two RS232 ports built in.
In the "Serial port setup and routing" menu (under system setup), choose "NMEA port" for your chosen RS232 port.

If you have the little iEFIS Extender module you get another 5 RS232 ports so in that case you can also select any one of those additional ports.
