has anyone put a level on their longerons at cruise in level flight? seems i remember to do it on the hangar floor [level longerons] the air had to be let out of the nose wheel a lot.

I wouldn’t worry about it. After you fly enough you’ll figure out what’s really in your tank vs. indicated level. My indication hits the float stop at 17 gallons, indicates about half gallon high until 5 gallons, and then it’s dead on actual level until zero.
