Anyone know how to calibrate the 430W VOR?...Mine is way off and I can't find in the manual how to adjust it.

It will have to go to an avionics shop to have it done properly.

When I got my 430 back from the WAAS upgrade my CDI was way off. You can easily do this calibration yourself; there's no need to take it to an avionics shop. Chapter 5 of the installation manual explains how to get the unit in configuration mode. Section 5.2.10 is the Main CDI/OBS Config page. Just follow the steps and you're there.

Hey thanks guys

I never did find the procedure in the manula but my Instrument CFII who works for Garmin stepped me through it while I was sat on the ramp in the airplane..My safety pilot called him on the cell phone...What a remarkably good idea!...

So yeah its not difficult but its not intuitive either......VOR was about 7 degrees off. I am surprised how much that screws up doing VOR approaches.

Need to test fly to confirm all is well but I think its now fixed.
