Has anyone out there ever thought of putting the bushwheel tires on a RV8?
Just a crazy thought...
 
Bigger wheels

Actually I have thought about this a lot living in Alaska and doing a lot of off airport flying in my other plane. Have not acted on it yet as my 8 is not complete. Did think though about going to bigger mains by using wheel s and pants from say an RV 10 to fight some of the drag issues. Uncovered the drag created by say 26" bushwheels is comparable to a set of EDO 2000 floats.
 
I've got a buddy in Atlin, BC building an 8 that will probably have larger tires on it (along with skis some of the time). I have a set of 800x6 wheels/tires for using on my 9.
