Thought I'd share this video link with the RV community.

I was approached several months back about participating in a short "documentary" about building an airplane. This is one video in a series being produced by Kobalt tools highlighting different people doing different projects.

The funnest part of shooting the video was getting a chance to be filmed flying my current plane (a Mooney) with some air-to-air shots.

The irony

Randy - I saw that commercial a week ago, and originally thought your name was a made up play on words. Very ironic given it's your story on building a Vans airplane!

I use to tell people it would take me about 3 years. At the 3 year mark, I realized I had "at least" 3 more. Hopefully soon.

Not a play on words, but it is ironic. I had the "RV10" incorporated into my paint design. A picture of it hangs in my garage as motivation and everyone that see's it thinks it's my initials (Randy V). I have to explain it's the model number, not my initials.

Everyday I work on it, I realize it'll take so much more time than I expect. :)
But, I'm doing it for the joy of building, not because I need it to fly. So, taking longer isn't necessarily a bad thing to me.
