I spent some time last night updating my builders log. When I finished it was too late to make any noise in the shop, so I put together something I thought about doing a few weeks ago... a photo mosaic of the images in my builders log. I thought some of you may enjoy this. This is a small version, but you may also download a bigger version (285K) if you like.

How-to...

How did you do that?

First I took an inventory of all 600+ pictures in my builder?s log. I then reviewed each image and made notes regarding what I thought to be the primary color and optimal orientation to be. I then painstakingly digitally optimized each image assigning it a numeric value for what I thought would be its best location in the mosaic. Through many attempts, over a period of weeks I pieced the image together making adjustments until I thought it was just right.

OK, I confess, I downloaded this software and it took about an hour.
