The Builder Assistance page here on VAF shows Grov-Air in central Indiana, but they've moved to Colorado.

I'm looking for a PIREP on what else there might be available close by.

I don't know of any builders assistance in the area, but I know there are a lot of RV's around. From my experience, having others look at my plane was a big confidence builder and motivational boost. I loved the building process, and if you need any help, just send me a PM. I'm based at KHFY.
