I think I understand the process:
  • Mount aileron gap fairing and flap brace to rear spar
  • Attach and rig ailerons
  • Align the flap so the training edge matches the aileron:confused:
  • Clamp the flap hinge in place with the brace and skin (how to keep pre-punched holes aligned?)
  • Match-drill flap hinge to pre-purched brace and skin:confused:
  • Rivet flap hinge to brace and skin:confused:
  • Follow one of two methods (split pin appears to be most popular) to install and safety flap hinge pin

My question is where those middle steps (I've marked with the  face) appear on the plans (attached)! As far as I know, the ailerons have to be installed first in order to establish references for flap alignment, and it doesn't make sense to discuss the hinge pin safetying methods until the hinge is drilled and installed.

Thoughts?? Thank you!!
