A friend asked me how long it takes to build an RV 6 aileron. He has been asked to build one for someone and needs a ballpark number of hours. He is a very experienced builder of many different types but not RVs.

I remember doing that. The only thing I did different was that I had all the old bare steel parts Cadmium plated. For the aileron weight I had the nasty bumpy water pipe stripped first.

It took me 30 hours to build two. That includes laying out the hole patterns (no prepunch)
