Can somebody tell me approximately how much travel there is at the top of the pedal to get full brakes? By full brakes I mean more than enough to hold it for a runup or way more brake than you should ever apply in a taildragger for fear if tipping it up in its nose. Here is why I ask...
I was working on brake lines etc today and noticed that when I have the flight adjustable pedals full forward and then apply full rudder, the top of the one pedal is only about an inch from the firewall. I played with moving washers in front of or behind the firewall and the best I can get is about an inch of available travel before a pedal contacts the firewall. At 6'5" with a 36" inseam I want the pedals as far forward as humanly possible. Is there somebody out there with their brake system complete that has the baggage compartment floor removed and can measure it?
