Hi all-
I want to mount the brake fluid reservoir directly on my master cylinders. Reading through threads on MCs, someone mentioned how it would be nice to have a reservoir with a window (just to make clear, I'm mounting the reservoir on the MC itself, not the firewall). Motorcycles do this, I'm just curious if anyone out there has ever considered/attempted using a motorcycle reservoir with window and tapped for AN fittings?

If I were to put the MC on the pedal assembly, the motorcycle reservoir is a good option. That being said, I would never do it. Once you have the panel in place try getting your arms down to the rudder pedals, it is not a fun time. I was down there when back-drilling the ribs to the forward skin and it took my back a week to recover. I'll avoid that at all costs!

The factory Pitts has a door on each side of the fuselage, to access the pedals...for the reason you state!

Easily done on your -4 if you have the Matco cylinders:
