How hard is it to change the brake liners on a -10.

I need to with my A/P this week.

Anyone have a simple play-by-play ?

Thanks,

Scott

If you take the brake assembly loose from the brake line, is there a trick to keep from needing to bleed the lines ?

No. (actually there is but I only use it in an emergency)

If care is used, there is no need to disconnect the solid line.

1. Remove the wheel pants.
2. Remove 2 bolts holding caliper halves together.
3. Remove and replace lining on wheel side.
4. Carefully remove caliper from slide rings.
5. Remove inboard lining plate from caliper and replace linings.
6. Reassemble in reverse order.

The main problem is that dirt/brake dust in the piston on the caliper can cause the o-ring to leak. If you can clean that, or if your linings aren't too far gone, then you may not have to bleed the brakes again.
