Finished up my wings today, ya. I hate doing things twice. Any way i had the same issues with my bottom skins being too short as others wrote. The sheets were about a half a hole off at the main spar. I tried the wing stands, also a little heat with no change. I just riveted like the instructions say on my work bench and the skins just pulled right in as more rivets were added. Had to tweak a few, but as i progressed, they all went right in.
I thought this might help others.

Thanks mbetti (Mike)

Mike,

Thanks for the post; I am seeing the same thing as I start to close up the wings by riveting the bottom skins to the sub-structure of my RV-8 wings. Hopefully the offset will disappear as I continue to close them up...

Regards,
Richard

Flip the wing upside down on the sawhorses (open panel down), then insert your clecos.

Lucky fellows!

You pre-punched guys get all the breaks;)

RV6 Super slow build.

Still wading through:eek:
