We are upgrading the panel in our RV-6. At first glance, we can't figure out how to remove the 2 Blue Mountain EFIS/Light G3 Lite and G4. Any suggestions? They are not flush mounted, but removing the 2 Allen screws from the top and bottom did not seem to loosen anything. Thanks for any help.

Any pictures of your particular installation?
Pictures can help a lot to give you some orientation. Some BMA EFIS are secured from a nut (4 actually) in “the back of screen”, not the Allen screw.

Remove Blue Mountain EFIS


These are the two Blue Mountain EFIS units - G3 and G4 Lite - we are trying to remove. We cannot figure out how they were/are attached to the panel. Thanks for any help.

Poking around on the internet I found this photo of the backside of the Blue Mountain EFIS. My guess is that there are 4 nuts on the backside of the panel holding the instrument in place.
