8 3/16 x 4 11/16, just another measuring point. You can order a blank fuse cover from Vans with the mounting holes pre-drilled if you don't want to make your own. That is what I did. I can't remember the part number though.
My dimensions came from the painted plate Stein sent with my panel. I used the Van’s plate that I had already painted, but it is on the airplane, so awkward to measure. The important dimensions are the screw hole spacings, anyway.
