All,

I've painted my RV6 dark grey on the inside. The brass colored screws that hold the various panels just doesn't look right.

Does Vans sell black ones? If not, any idea who does?

You can buy black screws at WICKS and probably other places.

These screws are black but are brass. I have also painted the interior of my plane grey and am using stainles steel screws and they look great.

You can find brass screws painted black at most hardware stores.

Black stainless steel machine screws available from McMaster-Carr in various lengths and sizes. 6-32 is most common instrument panel size.

Aircraft Spruce

I agree. The cad plated screws do not look right in the panel. Usually certified aircraft have brass screws either painted or black. I have built several panels and always opt for the black brass screws. I even replaced all of the panel mount screws with brass. I get all my hardware from Aircraft Spruce.
