Creeping up on finishing all the parts necessary before mounting the canopy, and wanted to throw this out while the questions was fresh in my mind. Got to thinking...what's the best tape for masking the canopy for Sikaflex application? Especially for making nice, rounded interior curves a la automotive windshields' corners? Black electrical tape? Fine-line painter's masking tape? Something else?

Just a Q that popped into my head on the way to work this morning... :)

light colored elec

I used yellow and orange electrical tape. Don't stretch it tight, just firm. Works like a charm. From there out or away from the primer, I used blue painters tape and black trash bags. I made the nice rounded corners you are talking about and was very pleased. If you use black, life it more difficult. Trust me.

Hope this helps.

Sika tape

We have done several and use the blue 3M fine line tape and then blue masking tape. The fine line give a good edge for the primer. We use rubber baffling material for the spacers.
