I went up today with an ex fighter pilot who now teaches aerobatics. I told him that I wanted to learn in my 7A. He had never been in a RV. He certainly developed the RV grin in a hurry. In Canada you have to have an aerobatic pilot demonstrate the maneuvers you want to be able to perform then the restrictions can be removed from the aircraft. He demonstrated loops, rolls, stall turns, chandells, Split S, barrel roll, vertical roll, and even hammerhead turns. Lots of oil on the belly after that last one. He was blown away by the performance.

When I asked him how he would like to be paid at the end of the session he told me that he will teach me for free if I let him borrow the airplane. I think we both had the RV grin at that point!

Cool

But a stalled turn IS a hammerhead right?

I wish I could get vertical rolls down..I keep falling off of them
