I recently lost the VOR needle meter in my KI-209 nav head. The meter is shot and the avionics shop is telling me the whole assembly (GS and VOR meter assembly) needs replacing with over $1000 estimate. I took it apart and found it is possible to swap out just the VOR meter.
Where can I buy just the meter?

I guess I could also use a good working KI-209 as a replacement or a 208/209 that I can use for parts.
Just thought I would ask around to see if anyone has old or otherwise unused hardware laying around. Any ideas would be appreciated.
