Hoping some of you electric experts can chime in with advice...
I need to replace the battery on my '97 Cessna 172R.
It takes a flooded Concorde 24V battery.
I've read about initially charging these with a special constant current charger, which I don't have. I called the FBO at the airport to see if they would charge it for me (assumed they would have one), and the guy told me they would just use a trickle charger to put it into service.
So, can I charge it initially with my BatteryMINDer 24V charger? If not, what is the best way for me to put a new battery into service?
I've had the current battery for 8.5 years now. Back then, I paid a shop to install it and have no idea how they initially charged it.
Thanks in advance!
