Just wondering.. anyone used Monel pop rivets (eg. MSP-42) as doublers at the bottom flange of their baffles (where safety wire is used to wrap the baffles around the bottom of the cylinder)? Is Monel strong enough for that (will it wear out by the wire)?

I don't think I would

A better way is to use the steel washer method.

Drill two small holes about 1/8th or so apart in the lower baffle and pass the wire thru each hole...Then put a washer between the wires so to speak and then twist up the wires.

Thanks guys.. Just realized that all those big pop rivets that are used for baffle seals are made of steel... might be "better" than MSP-42's...
