On that lengthy SB thread Vic Syracuse mentions an apparent lack of baffle cracking on aircraft with composite props.
I got major cracks in the usual place after only 11 hours!
IO360 180hp
WW200RV prop - composite
Inboard edge of the oil cooler was braced to the case centre line.
Baffle kit was one of the newer "improved" versions.

I must be unlucky.
 
I've had a few cracks appear on my baffles over the years. Nothing outrageous, or difficult to repair. There's a lot of thrashing about that goes on in there...
 
Baffling

I was referring to the baffling, and not the oil cooler mounts. They appear to have their own set of issues. :)

Exact same story here Jim!

First showed up at about 30 hrs and became terminal at about 70 hrs. I also have the WW 200RV and new style baffles.
