Difficulty in riveting the CB-705A to CB-906A. In order to reduce damage and poor rivet job, I would like to know if anyone used nuts and screws to join these 2 parts. The lowest rivet would have to be in place since it is close to the cylinder head. I riveted my second rivet but to spread the "wing" of 906A it caused a seperation between the two flanges and hence "bad" rivet. drilled out now oversize. Alternatives would be cherry max rivet or I think easier and better yet a screw and nut of #8 or #10 size.

contacted JOe Blank at Van's and he says to use MSP-42 rivet. This worked well and the oversize hole I filled with a #8 screw with hight temp nut, with washer under nut and screw head.
