All. I am considering back riveting my top wing skins using the Cleveland 12" back rivet set. What has been the experience using this?

Also should I get the offset one or is the straight 12" set able to be angled in enough to do these?

Thanks

12” straight worked for me

I got one 25 years ago to do the wing skins as you suggest. I even got that huge back riveting bucking bar to go with it. I never found this the way to go as the results were not as good as standard approach using a flush set and bucking bar.

Always got excellent results back riveting top skins on.
You might want to use the offset set for the inboard wing walk ribs as it gets tight in that area.
I use the mushroom shaped buck similar to the one pictured, but mine is lighter at about 3.5 lbs. Can’t remember where I got it.
