My father picked up an alternator from an 81 honda accord in a wrecking yard. It's 50amp and externally regulated, so I'll use an LR-3. I like that it has a nice large pully, turns the correct direction, is externally regulated, and is only $30 at Autozone!
My engine case is boss mount, so is Van's PN ES ALT-BKT what I need to get this thing mounted? My old bracket is about 3/16" shy of fitting. I could add some washers, but the second problem is that the pivot bolt is too large for this alternator.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Pictures of Van's ES ALT-BKT?
