While this is non RV related, it is interesting about these ladies who are flying their Mooney around the world as we speak and are using a SPOT for flight following / tracking. They landed this morning at 9:33 AM EST at Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport, Republic of Djibouti, East Africa and are in preparation for their last couple of legs of their flight en route to Orlando.

I have been following them for a couple of days and while their appears to be a few holes in their coverage or they didn't turn it on (unknown) it is giving position reports every 10 minutes.

Here is the link to their site http://www.alsworldflight.com/flight_log.php where you can read their flight log and click on the SPOT advertisement and it will take you to their tracking information.

Our Fort Collins/Loveland EAA chapter recently had her (Carol Ann) speak at a meeting about her previous around-the-world trip in the Mooney. It was a fascinating presentation.

Real gutsy!
