I am wiring up a pretty complicated panel and it has a Garmin 530W, an Avidyne EX-5000, a Tru-trak Sorcerer and a GTX-330 transponder. I am trying to feed signals from the 530 to a number of devices, namely the Avidyne, a GTX 330 transponder and a Tru-trak Sorcerer. The 530 doesn't have enough GPS 429 OUT signals to drive everything, and I know I can double up the outputs on the out side, since the fan out should carry the load.

I have a couple of questions or possibilities

1. How many signals will the GPS 50 ARINC-429 signal drive?

2. Or, does anyone know if I can feed this signal to the Avidyne, and then get it to come out on other 429 output ports on the Avidyne? Is that possible?

I need to drive the 3 devices from the GNS-530, and I am concerned about just bussing the signals together.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Roger

Thanks for the info.

My 430W installation manual says each ARINC 429 output will drive up to 5 other devices' inputs - I imagine the 530 is the same.

After reading and reading and reading, I must have missed this. I will look some more in the manual. Thanks. Roger
