I recently acquired a set of RV-12 MLG pants for possible use on my project. They look a bit different (flatter sides?) when compared to the -7 pants, which appear to be rounder? Wondering if one is better than the other with respect to drag reduction, or no appreciable difference.
I am a big fan of the RV designs and have enjoyed my flight time in a few, however these pants would be installed on my IO-360 powered Glasair I TD - the very same plane I built in 1987, sold in 1990, and recently had the opportunity to re-purchase and refit in my semi-retirement. So, speeds will be much faster than the -12.
