I'm the lucky owner of a pair of sloshed tanks and trying to get an idea of the approximate build time to assemble new non-punched 1st generation "forward facing baffle" tanks. I know time will vary from builder to builder, so I'm just looking for a time range in hours.

I'm at the point of trying to decide between:
1.) Build a new pair of tanks
2.) Have a pair built by a pro (Evans)
3.) Spend hours cleaning out the slosh and repairing any new leaks

Tanks are not that bad to do. You could easily do both in a week. That got me thinking about the time I built my tanks.... Tanks for the memories.

100 hrs

My build log says 100 hrs. Most of that was learning how to use proseal and spending LOTS of time making the beads neat and clean. Installed all the ribs wet with clecos and let the proseal cure before riveting, this helped a lot. If I were going to do it over again I would look around for a used pneumatic sealant gun at a friendly price. As it was I used large hypos from the local farm supply store. These worked OK but tiring to use. I also built some custom nozzles for them from some of the soft 3/8" aluminum fuel line.
