So here is the question. A person I know was able to get his company name on the data plate of his RV. I do not know what appeared on the 8130 as the manufacturer. I would like to do the same and not have a personal name on the data plate. When I read the regs, it sure sounds like an amateur built aircraft needs a "persons" name on the data plate and the cert. of aw.

(2) Aircraft Builder?s Name (Make). Enter the name of the manufacturer or builder as it
appears on the aircraft identification (ID) plate. (Reference section 45.13(a)(1).)

(a) For amateur-built aircraft, the aircraft make is the name of the builder. When two or more persons are involved, enter only the name of the individual that is listed first on the aircraft?s ID plate.

Am I missing something here, or can I use the LLC I created to build this aircraft as the manufacturers name?
