Has anyone used Vans' Tachometer transducer with a Dynon? I posted a question about wiring it on another thread but nobody has responded.

I actually don't really want to open up the question of "why" for debate (my reasoning is the transducer gives me true RPM indication regardless of whether i'm on the left mag or the right Electronic Ignition, or on both).
All I want to know is how to wire this thing.

It's got 3 wires.. red and black are power and ground respectively.. and the white one is the "signal" that goes into Dynon's tach input.. it's pretty straightforward..

Great thanks! That was my theory, i just wanted confirmation.
Question - why is the power lead on the back of Vans' gauges labelled "I" ? "I" for current?

I always thought it stood for "ignition" (automobile lingo.) ie: when you turn the "ignition" switch on, it supplies power to the gauges.

Some alternators have a terminal marked "I", as well.
