All,

I have S-200 mags I just overhauled but the replacement rubber cushions have these little wings on them. The originals did not. Anyone out there familiar with this issue?
Thanks

Lycoming SI 1299A explains that there are two types of drive cushions and gears available. One type of cushion with a tang that inserts into a slot cut in the drive gear receptacle and one rubber bushing that doesn't have any tangs that goes with a drive gear that doesn't have a receptacle. The bushing with the receptacle helps prevent dropping one or both of the rubber drive cushions inside the engine when the mag might be removed during maintenance. The drive cushion without the tang is LW-12136 and unless you want to purchase a new drive gear buying a couple of them is the way to go.
Good Luck,
Mahlon
