...and you can build this, do it first thing after cowl removal, likely have drained filter by time to spin it off.

Rotate/ loosen filter 1/2 turn, punch/drill 1/4ā€ hole close to flange, slide unit over and tighten clamp, rotate another 1/2 turn to place hole/drain on bottom, drain line in a bottle/pail etc , finish other related tasks while it drains. Works! Another VAF member as well as two vendors sell similar filter drains. My 2cent worth.

... and a 2 foot long plastic 2ā€ drain pipe cut in half lengthwise works even better, and is way cheaper. Positioned below the filter, not one drop of oil escapes.
Idea found, were else, here on VAF :D
