Thanks Captain Avgas "BoB" for the link for the fuel flow transducer question I had earlier. It had plenty of info.

Another question concerning transducer mounting: I've seen a lot of planes which have the manifold on the firewall to screw in oil pressure, fuel pressure and manifold pressure transducers and then run lines from the engine to the firewall mounted manifold. The manual says to mount the transducers on the engine mount or firewall. Running a hose from the engine to the transducer and then clamping the transducer to the engine mount appeals to me in that the lines would be shorter and I would suspect there would be less movement (vibration) than running the line to the firewall. Is anyone mounting the transducers directly on the engine mount in this manner, and if so, have you any feedback? Is there a concern with transducer longevity mounting in this fashion (although the manual recognizes this)?

thanks for any feedback! :)
