Has anyone put landing lights in the small leading edge portion of the wing tips? There looks to be sufficient room to put a standard light with a "normal" size cutout, at least in the newer "batwing" wing tips.
It seems to me that you could get good orientation on the lights to give good coverage without the central black hole. No need to cut metal, but coming up with a clear lens to cover it might require some creativity.
Anyone try this?
