I couldn't think of a good way to search my question so here it goes.
Lets say the annual is due by end of December and you begin the annual in December, but due to some repair or other factor the annual is not completed until the February and the plane is grounded the whole time. Is the next annual due in December or February?

The time the next annual/condition inspection is due is calculated based on when it was signed off.

February. It would be one year after it is signed off.

If the condition inspection was completed in February, the next one would be due 1st of March, the next year.

Well Not quite! The inspection can be signed off on the first of the following month, thereby giving you effectively 13 months, but technically it is due on the last day of the 12th month.
