Today I did an Angel Flight in West Texas, using my Baron. I was worried about the turbulence through the Guadalupe pass, as the winds were pretty fierce, and I had a pretty frail little lady on board. Some gents in RV-8's had gone through the pass Westbound, and I asked ATC if they could give me a ride report. They did so promptly, to include winds and direction, for which I was grateful. The mission was sucessful, and I wish to thank the RV pilots who flew this AM through the Pass enroute to DMN for their kind assistance. This RV family is awesome!

Chris: I fly for Angel Flight South Central, and I don't think they presently include experimentals. However, on some VAF posts in the past, here has been mention of RV'rs flying Angel Flight missions in RV6's for another branch of AF. For more info, Google Angel Flight or Grace Flight. It's a great way of putting our aviation avocations to good use, and I get a lot more out of it than what I put in.
