Looking at the andair fuel valve it has small holes on either side of the big mounting holes which are countersunk. It looks suspiciously like I am supposed to flush rivet nut plates to the body. But there is nothing in the instructions to that effect. Is that what most of you guys are doing?

You are right. If you are mounting the valve from below a mounting plate or whatever then yes this is an option to have nutplates on the valve.
I installed the selector valve from above so I put nutplates onto the underlying structure.

I think I will do what you did otherwise when I take the access panel off the calve will not ge supported. Thanks for the reply.
