I'm New Here
I just swapped out my manual wobble pump for an Andair elec boost pump in order to eliminate 3' of fuel lines and save a little weight. I just test flew the system and fuel flow when the pump is off is restricted above 1200 rpm. My engine is an AEIO-360-A1E. I checked all my lines and there are no obstructions. When I blow on the pump flow is restricted. Anyone have any thoughts? Andair hasn't responded to my emails.

I have no experience with andair pumps. However, an electric pump in this application should have a very lightly sprung check valve to allow mostly unrestricted flow through the pump when it is off. It sounds like yours is sticking or has an improperly spec'ed spring.

Keep after andair. It's unfortunate they are not responding.

I recently had the same problem, engine leaned out at 2000 RPM on the ground and didn?t accept full power. Fuel pressure and fuel flow went down. I tracked the problem down to the (duplex) boost pump and learned that this pump was not the right one.

Which pump do you have ??

I have 340 hours on the Andair with a IO-320 and have no restrictions.
Usually 21-24 with it off an 26-28 with it on.
