This just arrived from SteinAir:

Thankfully, it arrived before the installation was scheduled to begin!

It's amazing that this screen is going to replace about 20 pounds of vacuum instruments, and give us capabilities that pilots could only dream about just a few years ago.

I'll post some more pix throughout the installation.

Nice bit of hardware, it is a good core to build off of for a progressive upgrade to the entire panel.

Yep, its a great unit.

Put one in my -6 last winter, and I'll be putting one on my -8 this coming winter

It's hard for me to grasp the capabilities of this box. It is replacing all of my instruments, my transponder, my GNC-300XL (although we are retaining it in the panel as Com 2), etc.

It COULD replace my radios and autopilot, too, but I prefer to have some redundancy, and our TruTrak is working great.
