I'm inventorying the hardware in my RV14 empennage kit. I'm confused by the multiple markings on these AN3-6A bolts.

Are these actually all the same bolt?

Yes. The 'X' designates an AN bolt. The rest are manufacturer's markings.

The "X" is what you're looking for -- the other three letters are the mfg of the bolt.

If you don't already have one, suggest you pick up a copy of AC 43.13-1B / 2A,
provides answers to everything... than some.

If that's not annoying, try and figure out Mil-Spec part numbers. What are they smoking?

7-36. IDENTIFICATION.
Aircraft bolts may be identified by code markings on the bolt heads. These markings generally denote the material of which the bolt is made, whether the bolt is a standard AN-type or a special-purpose bolt, and sometimes include the manufacturer.

a. AN standard steel bolts are marked with either a raised dash or asterisk, corrosion resistant steel is marked by a single dash, and AN aluminum-alloy bolts are marked with two

Get an Aircraft Spruce print catalogue to keep on the shelf with your AC43.13 -- has pics of many/ most typical hardware. Easiest method to parse the leftover bags of randomness....
