I have been having problems with controlling the altitude using GRT Sport, Garmin 430W and TruTrak with GPSS. According to GRT I should be able to set my altitude on the GRT and the autopilot will fly to that altitude and hold within a few feet.

I have been working with Greg and Carlos at GRT about this issue. I went over the settings in the Tru Trak autopilot with Greg last night. His autopilot has similar settings. The difference is I have the torque and gain settings a little higher. I did have one setting in the GRT with the vertical hold gain setting low.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems? If so, what do you suggest?

Thanks

I will assume your autopilot is a DII VSGV, correct? What version of software do you have? When the AP powers up, it will give a sign-on screen with the AP type and software version.
