Looking for an alternative trim relay. Im tired of replacing the ray allens. Surely there is a commercially available reversing polarity relay around somewhere.
The ray allens do not stand the test of time for what ever reason. I readily admit I run them in pitch likely more than most due to the type of flying I do.
Thanks

Any double pole double throw relay should work. Infinity stick grips makes a relay board that works really well, but you could wire up your own with simple automotive relays. Google a DPDT relay schematic. I've done it before, but I don't remember exactly how it did it.

Kahuna,

Infinity Aerospace, the one who does the grips, sells a nice relay board.

Costs $138.50. The relays are more robust than the Ray Allen ones.

Just saw this one on ACS.

Costs $79.00

If you need a simple schematic, I can draw you up one. Email me at [email protected] if interested.

Brian helped me wire up two bosh style relays like these, should last the live of the plane, 20.00 done! http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bch-0332209150?seid=srese1&gclid=CPjzm8Xw-MoCFYIBaQod5CkO6w

Infinity relay

Mike,
I have an extra infinity relay hanging around that I won't need because I am going with a VPX. Shoot me your your current address and I will send it to you. Small payment for introducing me to Rvs.

Infinity relay board

90% + of my flying is formation work so my trim is in use constantly. The infinity relay board has served me well so far. An advantage is that it has 3 relays and I don't use the yaw relay for my -8 so I have a built-in spare relay. If one fails I intend to move the wires to the spare relay on the board.
