Generally, there isn't any problem connecting the two unless the hose is subject to vibration, like all your firewall forward fittings. In areas where there is consistent vibration, you're safer to replace the aluminum fitting with a steel one to eliminate the chance of fracturing the aluminum fitting.
If you're aft of the firewall, you should be fine.
