OK RV'ers. I'm building the RV-8 tail feathers and considering the rest of the ship. I've searched the site and can't find the procedures for FAA airworthiness.

Does the DAR only get brought in at the end of the project? Should someone inspect control surfaces before closing?

Common sense tells me there should be a second set of eyeballs on this but I don't need big brother for that.

Something tells me the empenage is the easy part.......

DAR or FSDO inspector only when you are done. But they like to see photos of the build, take lots, with you in some of them.

Yes, good idea to get others to look it over.
