I found the AirVenture Cup Race forms available on line this morning at http://www.airventurecup.com. I've been checking every day so I know this is brand new information. This is an all out race with two independent classes for RVs "320 cu. in. disp. and under" (RV Red Class) and "360" (RV Blue Class). It has a long northwest leg and two short northerly heading legs with pylon turns at the leg ends and no stops.

The Marion Jayne Air Race is being run just a few days before and a real tiger could work them both in. The Marion Jayne Air Race is handicapped so everyone theoretically has a chance to win. Winning is a big deal in this race because in addition to the trophys and bragging rights they pay cash to the winners ($5,000 in the past with lessor amounts to other top finishers - I have no idea what the pot will be for this year's race). The other big deal in the Marion Jayne Air Race is the travel across a lot of country you would never visit to airports that you would probably never go to on your own. It is a great race program run by REALLY GOOD people. Entry forms are available at http://www.us-airrace.org.
